Viber application for making free phone calls via WiFi (or 3G) between other users of the program (on mobile devices or desktop OS). Also allows you to exchange instant text messages, send pictures, audio and video.
Currently supported only x64 bit
Originally Viber was developed under iOS. Later came versions for other mobile operating system, Android, Windows Phone, Symbian, BlackBerry OS and desktop Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.

Version Viber for Linux has almost all the basic capabilities of the mobile version of the application. Available voice and video calls, chat, sending of a photo.
When you start Viber in Linux Mint, you must activate the software. If you already have installed Viber on the phone, then you just need to enter the phone number to bind account Viber (mobile you will receive the activation code). If you install the program for the first time, then you will need to register.
The program automatically loads and syncs all your contacts Viber.
The application interface is pretty stylish and should not cause difficulties. On the left displays the list of contacts and tabs to the right of the chat window. In the settings you can configure notification, sound, set the autorun program at system startup, and more.
Installation into Linux Mint:
DOWNLOAD Deb file and install it
or run following command in terminal
cd /tmp && wget && sudo dpkg -i viber.deb
