SmartShine is a GUI for aaphoto utility, which takes care about levels/contrast/white balance/saturation of your photos. Highly automatic process is usefully for mass-convert. Beside of colors correction, you can also resize/flip/rotate photos.

The main purpose SmartShine is to provide users with a convenient and easy to use tool for correcting images in "one click". The corrected image is saved in the specified directory, leaving the original image intact, the correction result can be seen immediately. In some cases, the changes are subtle and sometimes very noticeable (it all depends on the image).

In the screenshot below you can see my picture processed in the program. This wonderful day in Sunny Brazil))

Installation into Linux Mint/PinguyOS/ElementaryOS or others Ubuntu distrs:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dhor/myway
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install smartshine

    If SmartShine does not work in >=LinuxMint 18 the decision below:
    In the file /usr/share/smartshine/smartshine/smartshine.py need changed the
    words "fromstring" to "frombytes".
