The qBittorrent project aims to provide a Free Software alternative to µtorrent. Additionally, qBittorrent runs and provides the same features on all major platforms (Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, OS/2, FreeBSD). qBittorrent is based on Qt4 toolkit and libtorrent-rasterbarqBittorrent is developed by volunteers on their spare time.

Installation latest version into Linux Mint:

qBittorrent Stable
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stablesudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install qbittorrent
or qBittorrent Unstable
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-unstablesudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install qbittorrent

Try find DEB package here
Given that search engines are the first lines of search queries will output a lot of garbage, qBittorrent has a useful search feature.
After starting the program go to the tab “search” and enter the necessary phrase.

“Cannot add PPA: ”No supported PPA of this name was found.”.

Doesn’t work for me linux mint 20 cinnamon

These commands have one little problem. There is missing space between
”sudo add-apt-repository ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stable”
and
”sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install qbittorrent”
try to execute them one by one and it will work.
Just tested on mint 20…
