Distraction-free, clean interface
Helio is a lightweight, minimalistic tool, that helps you to get into the zone and focus on music.

Hosts VST2, VST3 and AudioUnit. Runs on CoreAudio, ASIO, DirectSound, ALSA, JACK and OpenSLES. Imports and exports MIDI. Renders to WAV, FLAC and OGG.
Helio introduces version control-driven workflow. The point of version control is overcoming the fear of making changes to your work. Every changeset can be tracked, every revision can be restored.

Helio is a one-man hobby project, that is a work in progress. The author builds it for himself and shares with the world. If you feel like helping the project, you can spread the word or give a feedback, or even make a translation for your native language.
Installation latest version into Linux Mint:
1. Download latest DEB package
2. Install it and run from the menu
The concept is very interesting, not familiar, but quite comfortable after 10 minutes of use.
The only thing I want to say I have a system 18.1 Linux Mint cinnamon and after adding some tools, the program crashes. Don’t forget to use Jack. It may be necessary as carefully to use the program, I’m sure you want to close all unnecessary software programs when you use Helio.
May the Force be with you,
