Bluefish is one of the best code editors available, but also one of the most underrated ones. Most people prefer using Visual Studio Code, Atom and Sublime Text, when Bluefish offers almost the same features, at least for basic web development. I work with Bluefish for PHP, HTML and JSON, and it's very comfortable and more native (in contrast with the Electron based code editors). It also supports languages like Vala, which are not supported by default by any popular code editor I know. I recommend this amazing code editor.
