In this article we will talk about my personal preferences about how to configure a fresh installed Linux Mint. In addition, will make it faster and easier)))
Lately, I often install Linux Mint. For friends, relatives. Every time i have to do a long routine procedure. The installation of programs, enter commands, and so on. Remember the article How to create your own script (sh)? So I want to share with you my own script that I make life easier. Please note, first I don’t do system updates, but I remove unwanted programs for me to not upgrade them in vain. This script I made to install on Linux Mint 18.2. You can build on and alter as you wish.
cd /tmp && wget http://download.cdn.viber.com/cdn/desktop/Linux/viber.deb http://www.ocenaudio.com/downloads/ocenaudio_mint64.deb https://go.skype.com/skypeforlinux-64-preview.deb https://download.teamviewer.com/download/teamviewer_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
sudo apt install -f -y
#If you have nvidia graphics card, uncomment nest 2 strings
#sudo apt install -y nvidia-387 nvidia-settings
#sudo dpkg-reconfigure nvidia-387
sudo apt update; sudo apt upgrade -y
sudo apt autoremove -y
#here uncomment last string and change to (FSCKFIX=yes)
sudo nano /etc/default/rcS
Left to save the file with sh extension and make executable. Then run, enter the password and go to drink tea))) That’s all, it saves a lot of time. Change as is convenient for you, perhaps you will enjoy it and you will do even better. 1508119301_after_install_lm18
