Synapse – simple quick launcher for Linux

Synapse is a simple quick launcher for Linux. Lets you find and launch applications, open documents and files, and perform other useful actions.

Synapse really really fast. Search instantly without any delay. The quality of the search I really liked.

The program Synapse is a search string that can be called at any time by pressing Ctrl+Spacebar. In the search box you can enter a name or partial name of programs, files, different teams. Keys Left, Right, you can select a category search. If you press Down, you will open a list with additional search results. Full list of hot keys can be found in the program settings.

The program supports skins. You can change the hotkey settings. Supported plug-ins that add additional functionality and enhance the functionality of the search string. For example, a plug-in calculator allows you to calculate directly into the search box.
Installation into Linux Mint:
sudo apt install synapse
If you have an old distro or in the repository no Synapse, then you can install from PPA repository. To do this, run in a terminal the following three commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:synapse-core/ppasudo apt-get updatesudo apt-get install synapse
Good Luck!!!
