Fonty Python can satisfy the typical needs and requirements of designers, HTML coders and other specialists such uses quite an extensive database of fonts (sometimes up to several thousand), helping to choose a suitable font. Fonts are usually located in the directory /usr/share/fonts (systems) and ~/.fonts (custom), including subdirectories.
Fonty Python gives users an easy interface to view and sort the available fonts, then apply to the "Pogs" (arbitrary collections, groups, projects, topics, etc) on the fly to enable and disable third-party fonts (non-standard directories and/or external media) creating them a link in the user directory (~/.fonts), the supported font formats TTF, OTF, TTC and Type1.
Using Fonty Python can be made a diagnosis of fonts in the selected directory, a hidden directory (such as ~/.fonts) are displayed with the option "Include sub-folders" sorted by "Pogs" a list of fonts can be saved in a ZIP archive.
