With KDE Connect you can receive notifications from your phone directly on a Linux Mint desktop, or Vice versa, use your Android device as a remote control for your Linux Mint desktop.

Installation latest version into Linux Mint 18:
First, install KDE Connect on your Android phone via the Google Play store.
Then on your computer open a terminal and run the following commands:

After installation, launch KDE Connect from the application menu of your system.
You should also activate the KDE Connect app on your phone.
KDE Connect will automatically detect your phone when they are in the same network.
