Eric - integrated development environment for programming languages Python and Ruby. It is based on the cross platform Qt gui toolkit, integrating the highly flexible Scintilla editor control. It is designed to be usable as everdays' quick and dirty editor as well as being usable as a professional project management tool integrating many advanced features Python offers the professional coder. eric includes a plug-in system, which allows easy extension of the IDE functionality with plug-ins downloadable from the net.
The program interface is made in the classic IDE. The main workspace is divided into several windows. Each window contains additional tabs. The location of the windows can be configured. When you first start the program opens the configuration window, which presents a variety of settings. Supported code completion, customizable syntax highlighting, code folding, syntax checking, advanced search by project, an integrated system of documentation, debugging code, profiling, testing, and more. Eric is written using the Qt library. Is free and available for Linux and Windows. Installation into Linux Mint:
sudo apt install -y eric
