Alarm Clock has great functionality, allows you to create a daily schedule and automatically perform various tasks.Alarm Clock supports two types of alarms: alarm and timer. It can be pop-up notification, play sound, or run third-party applications.

Installation into Linux Mint:

sudo apt install alarm-clock-applet
If for some reason your distribution absent the repository with this program, add the PPA and install:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:joh/ppa
sudo apt update
sudo apt install alarm-clock-applet

@NumOpen but none of the “workarounds” to change the annoying default alarm sound seem to work anymore (Ubuntu 20.10). Which is an absolute killer in an office environment.
