I always use the program "Shutter" — the best program for creating screenshots in linux. Recently it stood idle, and here I needed to make the next screenshot.
So Shutter has all the functionality I need:
*Take screenshots from everything you can: sites, hints, Windows and their elements;
**Edit the screenshot (crop, add watermark, blur private information);
*Apply various beautiful effects to your screenshots;
*Upload them to various imagehosting's.
You can easily install the Shutter via the Software Manager or by command
The program works well, but I noticed that the ability to edit screenshots has disappeared.
sudo apt install shutter -y
Linux MInt 18.3 had to install one package, and the editing option started to work.
Linux MInt 19/19.1 this package is missing. To fix this we will need to download and install the missing packages. I am currently using Linux Mint 19.1, all manipulations will be performed on this version.
sudo apt-get install libgoo-canvas-perl -y
Installation into Linux Mint 19/19.1:
1. run this Single command
You will see like this
mkdir /tmp/shutter; cd /tmp/shutter; wget https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/libgoocanvas-common_1.0.0-1_all.deb https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/libgoocanvas3_1.0.0-1_amd64.deb https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/libgoo-canvas-perl_0.06-2ubuntu3_amd64.deb; sudo dpkg -i *.deb
Close and open the Shutter and check the edit option
sudo apt install -f -y
