Guake gives you an easy access to the console, regardless of what you are doing at the moment, one by pressing the F12 key installed by default. Pressing F12 hides Guake.
Guake terminal emulator should appeal to fans of the command line.
Installation latest version into Linux Mint:
After installation to start using Guake the first time, you have to start it from the menu system:
sudo apt-get install guake
Click with the right mouse button anywhere in the window open Guake and select Options to open the program settings window:
In the settings there is no option run Guake at logon. For this purpose it is necessary to register in Automatically startup applications as follows:
