Plex Media Server which also claimed DLNA has a multitude of additional features. Resource developed with support from LG, Samsung, Sony and encouraged them to view your library on their smart TVs, which are available in the respective stores their applications (applets).

Installation into Linux Mint:
1. plexmediaserver depends on avahi-utils, so if you have not installed this package, install it
sudo apt-get install avahi-utils
2. Download the required package version on the page https://plex.tv/downloads
3. Install with gDebi
or using the terminal
sudo dpkg -i plexmediaserver_*_*.deb
4. If you want to distribute your library to the Internet, or want to have access to home collection from anywhere, you need to register in the service https://plex.tv/users/sign_up
5. Go to the home page via the menu: All application->Other->Plex Media Manager
or just open a link in the browser (http://127.0.0.1:32400/web or http://localhost:32400/web), which is actually the same thing.
6.Agree to the license agreement, wait a little while to start up and go into the setup wizard. Setup appropriate server settings, select language and so on.
The installation is finished, any device connected to your local network you will see your server and will be able to see your library.
It only remains to add to the library of your photos, music and videos.
Remove from Linux Mint:
sudo apt-get purge plexmediaserver
