Works well with many codecs. Has in its arsenal a variety of tools and filters to obtain effective results. The program has a very intuitive and user friendly interface. Supports different video types (among which AVI, MPEG, MP4/MOV, OGM, ASF/WMV, VOB, MKV and FLV), there is a rich set of filters. Avidemux works fine with codecs x264, Xvid, LAME, TwoLAME, Aften and others. Avidemux is written in C/C++, or GTK+, or Qt Toolkit to create a graphical interface or only command line interface.
